Thanksgiving

Seth, the boys, and I enjoyed our Thanksgiving with the Blacks. We are thankful for our family (even though we missed seeing ALL our family!) and for our health. Asher had a bad ear infection Thanksgiving night so Seth took him home then to the doctor Friday morning. Asher is doing much better after some antibiotics, but may need to see a specialist and possibly get tubes. Isaac and Asher enjoyed playing with cousins Madelyn and Katja and getting to know them better. Another highlight was the Black Family Variety Show! We performed in the basement - poetry, scrapbooking, speeches, songs. We got it all on video, so someday we'll post a clip (Seth's talent was videography). We returned home Saturday to decorate for the next holiday! I have always loved Christmas, but it seems more special this year since Isaac understands and enjoys it more. He came out in the cold with Seth and me Sunday night to put up the outdoor lights. Isaac was in his footed pj's and winter boots and was so excited to decorate. Then we came inside by the fire and had cookies Seth made. What great memories! Asher was asleep, so hopefully next year he can get in on decorating. One more story: Isaac asked to play with his "utility set" yesterday. After asking him more about this, since I had no idea what he meant, he said, "You know, Mary, Joseph, the animals, and baby Jesus." ;) Happy December!
