YMCA Basketball

Isaac is in a basketball program at our local YMCA. It is an eight week session and tomorrow will be game #6. Last week he made his first basket!! Seth is the one and only coach, though all parents help when needed. The league is for 4-6 year olds and are of all skill levels. Isaac is doing a great job following directions, jumping into the game, and cheering for the players. He also enjoys running down the court, then body slamming the padded wall. Those are valuable life skills! He starts swimming lessons the end of this month, then we will probably sign him up for more Y fun!  I'm sure we'll do basketball again (he has to learn his dad's passion!), but also try soccer, tumbling, flag football, tae kwon do, t-ball....Oh the possibilities for a four-year-old!

That is so cool that he is playing basketball. I am sure it is fun for you as well to watch him. Wow, I cannot imagine what basketball looks like with 4-6 year olds...how fun!

I love the running against the padded walls part! How great to have so many things for him to have fun with and learn both people skills and listening skills and co-ordination skills!

I would like to hear the coach's perspective of the season once it's over. :-)
