First day of Preschool!

It was Parent/Child day at Isaac's preschool. It was an hour of meeting his two teachers, some classmates, and seeing his preschool room. He pretended like he was too cool to be excited, but I could see he was curious and excited :) A friend watched Asher so Isaac and I could spend the morning together. With his Thomas backpack in tow, Isaac fearlessly entered the world of preschool. He says his favorite part was playing Legos. He also painted, colored, and had circle time. He will go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, so Friday will be his first day without mom. We are all ready for this next step in his life and excited to see how he will grow and learn this year. Now to find something red for Show & Tell...

He looks sooo much like Seth! I think he has grown a foot since we saw you guys in July! We're excited that you guys are excited.... What fun for his world to be expanding and for you to be so involved in that every day. Congrats Isaac!

I love it that they had a Parent/Child day. I would've loved to have had something like that here -- I feel so clueless about what goes on at Kayla's preschool.

Wow -- painting, Legos, circle time, and coloring! So fun! I'm glad Kayla didn't get a taste of that before she came to the preschool here. (I hope that doesn't sound like I'm complaining because I'm not. She is where she is to learn French without having to study it so she is in a good situation.) Isn't it the weirdest feeling to give someone else so much time with your child during these formative years? Looks like you chose a great place to have a good influence on Isaac as he is growing up so quickly!

How did this all happen so quickly -- our children in school? Weren't we "just" childless and the wives of grad students? :-)
